Happy Summer!! As we part for our break, I think there are a few skills that would be beneficial for all of the outgoing 3rd graders to periodically practice over the summer to avoid losing some of the new skills they gained this year.
Multiplication Facts 2-12s:
Some are still trying to skip count when they multiply and they need a bit more practice with straight memorization. I suggest flashcards or using this website:
Some could still use some extra practice with addition skills. I have a few that still want to count on their fingers to add. We'd like to get that skill up so that it is more of a memorized skills. I suggest flashcards or using this website:

I cannot emphasize this one enough: READ
Ask them to read to you 10 minutes a day, a few days a week. This is one of the most important skills they can work on.
Lastly, they have access to IXL all summer. They can go under "Assessments" then scroll down to see recommended skills for Math and Language.
